The new, puck type, Water Leak Sensor 4 MoveAlert is a variant of the Water Leak Sensor 4. New features added include an integral 105dB piezo sounder, and low-temperature sensing (to alert you to conditions that can lead to frozen pipes).

The MoveAlert variant of this new sensor adds a component that can detect when the sensor has been removed.

Introduction

Our newest addition to the water sensor line, the Water Leak Sensor 4, is a smart, wireless, "puck" type water detector. New features added include an integral 105dB piezo sounder, and low-temperature sensing (to alert you to conditions that can lead to frozen pipes). This product is a variant of the Water Leak Sensor, but is named the Water Leak Sensor 4 MoveAlert. A unique feature of the MoveAlert leak sensor is its ability to activate the sounder and to inform you if the sensor is removed. This is made possible by a second component, a plastic bracket that is adhered to the floor, using the peel & stick mounting tape on the bracket. A small magnet in this bracket, and its proximity to the sensor body, informs the sensor if it is ever moved (accidentally, or to mop the floor, etc.).

Placed on the floor, or in a tray or pan, the sensor's electrodes on the top and bottom detect both pooling/flooding water from around and below, and dripping water from above.
